Current Read

Today I decided to read The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. This is one of my all time favorite books from school.

It's pretty short at only 180 pages. I should have this done definitely within a few hours.

What is your favorite book you read in school? What are you reading today? Leave your answers in the comments section below.

I hope you have a wonderful day. Bye!

Review for We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

This book was amazing! I'm not going to go into too much detail on the plot because I don't want to spoil it for anybody but, I suggest you read it.

I just love the characters and the writing style. Some people thought it was choppy and annoying but I thought it made sense from the protagonist's point of view.

My favorite character was Cadence. Reading the story from her point of view is really gripping.

I recommend going into this book absolutely blind to anything about it.

Sometimes if books have a lot of hype it raises expectations extremely high. I expected a great novel and that is exactly what I got.

I read this book 5 out of 5 stars on Goodreads.

Booksplosion read-a-long

On my TBR list this month is We Were Liars by E. Lockhart.
This is the Booksplosion Book of the Month.  I'm going into this not even knowing with this book is about.
I'm really excited to read this book and and the post my thoughts on what I read so far. Don't worry I won't be posting any spoilers. I know how irritating that is ( Someone totally spoiled me for something to happened in Allegiant)

Until the next post, goodbye!

Review for Fiendish by Meka James

I received this ebook in exchange for an honest review.

Calida Alexander meets Seth Jokobi.  He's handsome and a gentleman.  However Seth has a darkside Calida doesn't know about and it changes her life.
This book is very dark and for mature readers only.

Despite the difficult subject matters in the story, I really enjoyed it. Once I got into it I couldn't put it down. Calida was very relatable and I really felt so much for her and what she went through.

Seth, wow my feelings on him are hard to say... He's everything I would avoid in a man: Possessive and controlling. He was a well written character. Every reaction he had was believable. None of the violence was there for its own sake. It showed either how sadistic Seth was or how it effected Calida.

I highly recommend this book and highly anticipate Meka James's next novel.

I rated this book 5 out of 5 stars.

#ArmchairBEA introduction

I'm Stephanie I have 3 children and two fur babies (cats). I love reading YA, sci fi and fantasy. I've only been blogging for a couple months and I started blogging so I can meet people who love reading as much as I do!

My favorite book bloggers are Catriona @littlebookowl and Kat @katytastic even though she's a booktuber and not a blogger.

I read a lot of YA but also a lot of fantasy too. I love to read because you can visit another world through the pages.

My favorite book last year was Vicious by V.E. Schwab. It was amazing! I highly recommend this book. My favorite books that I read this year so far was Divergent by Veronica Roth. I avoided it for so long because of the hype ,but then I sat down and read it and I loved it!

My favorite book related quotes is: " her home is the burrow of a bibliophile hobbit- low ceilinged, close- walled and brimming over with books. "

That was my introduction. I hope you all liked it. See you all tomorrow.

Read-a-thon Progress

For the past few days I've been trying to read crazy by William Peter Blatty. I say try because I really don't understand what's going on this book. Its really confusing that narration is all jumbled.

I've decided I'm going to put that book down and pick up the Amber Spyglass by Philip Pullman. It's the third book in the His Dark Materials trilogy. I'm really eager to see what happens especially after the ending of the second book.

It's 518 pages long so it'll probably be a couple days to finish it. I'll will post a review as soon as I finish.

I'd like to thank you guys for visiting my blog. It means a lot.

The Subtle Knife book review

The Subtle Knife (His Dark Materials, #2)The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I enjoyed this book as much as I did the Golden Compass. it's a little slow in the beginning because you're entering a new world but then it picked up and I love the story.

Bout of Books day 6 update

I finally finished the Golden Compass! Yay! * throws confetti in the air* LOL.

It took so long because there was so many distractions. I really loved it and as soon as I finished it I picked up the second book in the trilogy: The Subtle Knife.

I am on page 124 out of 326. When I first started reading it I was kinda bummed. I was like, where's Lyra? But then she came in and everything is getting really really interesting now. I can't wait to finish this book and pick up the final book in the trilogy the Amber Spyglass.

Perhaps I'm lucky I can finish these two books before midnight tonight. Good luck on BOB Day 7!

Bout of Books day 4 update

Today was not the greatest reading  day for me. I read Club Shadowland by Charise Sinclair. It was about 155 pages so it didn't take long. I read 130 pages from the Golden Compass by Philip Pullman. I'm liking it so far even though it is a little bit slow. There's some world building and getting to know the characters so I don't mind that. I'm really excited to finish this book and read the other two books in the trilogy. I hope everyone had a really fun day yesterday and hopefully you have a great day today.
