Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - Book Review

The year is 2575 and hours ago Kady Grant's only hardship was the fact she broke up with her boyfriend, Ezra Mason.

Before she knew it her planet is caught in a war between two mega-corporations and everyone is forced to leave their home behind.

Stuck on two different ship we read their story through emails, IMs, schematics, military files, medical record, interviews and more.

But there is more than the pursuing warship to worry about a mutating          and a rogue AI make life on the three ships dangerous. The Alexander, the Hypatia, and the Copernicus have a long way to go before they reach safety.

Let me just say that this book blew my mind. Not only with the writing style but the characters you can't help loving or hating.

My feels still haven't recovered. While I read this book I laughed, I cried. I raged, I started loving the characters and I regret nothing. :)

This book was certainly hyped up so much. It certainly delivered. I gave this book  5/5 stars.  I highly recommend this book to sci-fi fans, romance fans, and horror fans....pretty much everyone. :) Embrace the feels!  <(^_^<)

My next review will be on a book called The Heart You Carry Home by Jennifer Miller and it should be up in a couple of days!

Have a great day.

Review of Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons

Watchmen by Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons
Watchmen is about the fall from grace of a group of super-heroes plagued by all-too-human failings. Along the way, the concept of the super-hero is dissected as the heroes are stalked by an unknown assassin.

i loved this graphic novel! it was so good

The characters were complex and from different walks of life. They also were very much flawed. None of them were all good or all bad. This made for an interesting story.

The ending was very satisfying and i had no complaints.

I also saw the movie and believe that both the movie and the graphic novel are amazing in their own right.

Current Reads

I said i would post more so here i go.

I am currently reading two books. The first is The Other Side of Eve by Paul Ikin.

I really like the book so far but it's tough to get into. The first quarter of the book is pretty slow. Its starting to pick up now so i hope to have it finished soon.

The second book is From a Distant Star by Karen McQuestion.

I received an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for a review. It is really good so far. The story is interesting and i adore the characters. IF i have my way I'll have them both read within the next week or so.

So that is all for now. More posts coming soon.

The Other Side of Eve by Paul Ikin

Coming March 2015!

An enchanting narrative that shares two grand and abstract tales as one singular journey.

A premonition is forewarned. It is a race against time for young Evelin to find solace and peace within herself before her anxieties bring eternal darkness into her life and destroy the fragile realm of Mare-Marie. Here her fears have taken on the form of an ominous black liquid that seeps into the Veelin River, the life force of Mare-Marie, and its haunting dark powers have been uncovered by a shadow eating necromancer hell bent on destroying the kingdom.
